MURPHYSBORO — Wiley “Bub” Andrew Mezo, 54, formerly of Cahokia, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, in St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1962, to Cleveland Mezo and Phyllis Icenogle Jackson in Bloomington.
Wiley married Jacalyn Ficken of Cahokia on Feb. 4, 1994. They shared 23 years of marriage.
He owned and operated Mezo Trucking in Cahokia and Murphysboro.
Wiley is survived by his wife, Jacalyn Mezo; his mother, Phyllis (Lloyd) Jackson; brothers; sisters; a son; daughters; many grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; in-laws and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Lelia Doty; two infant siblings and an unborn child.
A private burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
A memorial service hosted by the family will be at a later date.
