Sierra Club to hold dinosaur program

The Sierra Club will hold a program entitled "Monsters of the Paleozoic" at 2 p.m. Monday in Carbondale Township Hall.

The program will be given by Joe Devera, senior paleontologist at the Illinois State Geological Survey. Joe will talk about numerous creatures that attained great size compared to their modern counterparts. A short survey of the Paleozoic periods and examples of large organisms from each period will be discussed.
