Pritzker signs legislation mandating paid leave for Illinois workers
Gov. J.B. Pritzker on March 13 signed Senate Bill 208 into law, making Illinois the third state to mandate paid time off for workers.

Illinois employees will accrue one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours total, although the employer may offer more.
With two months to go before the legislature adjourns and current-year revenues continuing to smash expectations, Gov. J.B. Pritzker said he and legislative leaders are considering tax cuts.
