The Saline Valley chapter of Friends of the NRA is selling calendars that include a weekly gun give-away.
Each 2014 calendar is assigned a 3-digit number from 000 to 999. Every Wednesday, the gun pictured for that week will be given away in a drawing.
Every calendar holder is eligible, and winning one week does not preclude a calendar owner from winning in any other week. The calendars cost $50 each.
There is also another $25 option, reduced to $20 for calendar purchasers, in which each entrant goes into a drawing for gun of the month.

Calendars are not limited to Southern Illinois or Illinois residents. Calendars can be picked up in person or mailed at $2 each. The group says the calendars make unique gifts for shooters and hunters, friends and family.
Each calendar will be registered to the recipient with name, address, phone number, alternative phone number and mail. Winners will be notified.
The Friends of the NRA raises money for “The next Generation of Shooters,” such as newcomers to the shootings sports, women, young people and the like.
In the past three years, the Friends of the NRA has raised and given away more than $1 million and reached over 330,000 children and students through programs it has helped fund. The Friends have given money nationally through grants to 4H clubs, high school trap teams, Boy Scouts, Women on Target, The Eddie Eagle Program, other gun safety programs, community ranges and other projects.
