HERRIN — Joyce Ann Morris, 78, of Herrin, passed away at 5:43 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, at her home in Herrin.
Joyce was born in Johnston City on Jan. 23, 1941, the daughter of Ollie and Wilma (Briscoe) Campbell. She married Dale Morris on June 5, 1964, in Herrin. He survives.
Mrs. Morris was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Johnston City.
Survivors include husband, Dale Morris, of Herrin; daughter and son-in-law, Melody and John Kerley, of Herrin; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Denel Morris, of Herrin; five granddaughters, Autumn and J.R. Dilbeck of Hartselle, Alabama, Brooke and Chad Banks of Herrin, Kylie and Josh DeJaynes of Carbondale, Taylor Morris of Herrin, and Zoey Morris of Herrin; great-grandchildren, Carter and Camden Banks, Reece and Riley Dilbeck and Rory and Theo DeJaynes; brother David Campbell of Johnston City; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son and daughter; sister, Sherrill Benge; and two brothers, Vernon and Dallas Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, with the Rev. Gaylon Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
