There was a problem reporting this.
These updates would be so much more meaningful if they'd provide more complete numbers instead of just total cases and deaths. Sure, recovered is important, but what might total population be for each county in survey area, and what is the breakdown of positive cases by age group, and a breakdown by age group of deaths. It seems like if were going to publish reports on such a frequent basis, if the reason is to inform, then please inform the public, don't just try to push a particular viewpoint or frighten/control people with limited amounts of information and data.
And let's not forget that several thousand SIUC students will be back in town in less than two weeks! As a faculty member there, I do think the University has plans in place to help to minimize COVID-19 infections, but what about late teens and early 20 somethings out and about in and around the County?
Questions: Do the numbers include the 4,000 inmates in the county? Wonder what the rates are for the non-inmate population of the county? Can't be that many folks living there.
Johnson County has 27 active cases.
51 cases with 24 recovered equal 27 active cases. This is not emotion just fact.
