To the Editor:
Anti-Semites and other disgusting creatures have again shown themselves in today’s world. Every so often, the ignorant ones feel the need to let everybody know how stupid they are in blaming Jews for societal problems. It’s nothing new, it’s been going on for a very long time. The ones that hate them would love to see them all gone. While the ones that hate will succeed in causing some suffering, they will fail once again in getting rid of a great people. The dull witted gravitate toward simple solutions to complex problems. The ignorant ones teach their kids this filth, and like zombies without a brain, they accept it.
On three different occasions with a different high school student each time, I was asked in a serious manner, “Are you Jewish?” The first time I said, “Well, as a Christian, I suppose I am since I’ve been grafted into the vine of Abraham.” That made no sense to the kid, but since he heard me use the word Christian, I was deemed OK.
The Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Spanish Inquisition, the pogroms, the Nazi Holocaust and more, have all come and gone and the Jewish people are still here strong and contributing to society.
I hold Trump responsible for this latest outcrop of superiority minded buffoons. He started his run for power with a racist birther rant. He’s called Jeff Sessions a hillbilly. Name calling is a basic part of his extreme arrogance. His arrogance appears to have no limit in expressing itself. When are the grown-ups going to take charge?
