The Herrin girls bowling team won the Belleville East sectional on Saturday and will be moving on to the state tournament for a second consecutive year. 

The Lady Tigers finished with a team score of 6,341.

Senior Cassidy Ray was Herrin's leading scorer with 1,378 points.

Lauren Hays of Salem, scored 1,422 and was the sectionals individual champion.

Junior Elizabeth Davis scored 1,299 to lead Harrisburg and she will be advancing to the state final.

Dupo's Courtney Argus will be making an appearance at state, after finishing with a score of 1,279.

O'Fallon, Salem, and Collinsville also advanced.

The state finals will begin Friday at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford.
