CARBONDALE — SIU's baseball game against Wichita State at the Missouri Valley Conference tournament in Springfield, Missouri, has been delayed by rain, and could now start after 6 p.m.

The Salukis (27-28) and Shockers (27-28) were originally scheduled to play at 4 p.m. in the double-elimination event. They will follow the second game of the day between Bradley and Dallas Baptist, which is in the top of the ninth inning. SIU and Wichita State are expected to start about 30 minutes after the conclusion of that contest, which the Patriots lead 15-9.
