The Nashville Hornets won their own track sectional, outdistancing Chester 102-86. The Hornets captured first place in six events.

Nashville took firsts in the 3,200 and 1,600 meter relays. Gavyn Lietz won both the pole vault and the 110 high hurdles. And, Tabor Kozuszek won the high jump.

Chester took three firsts with Aiden Jany doubling up in the 100 and 400 meters. Keith Kiner III claimed the other first in the triple jump.

The top two competitors in each event advance to next week's Class A state track meet at Eastern Illinois University.
